BLACKWATCH PRESENTS / DUSTBOWL ARTS MARKET

As many of you know, we have been putting on shows with some of our favorite local artists over the course of the past year.  With full intent to continue on, we'll be promoting several events this summer that we think you should check out...

1. BLACKWATCH PRESENTS

First  we will be hosting a Blackwatch Presents night at Pepe Delgados on Campus Corner in Norman on Friday, June 24th.  Brine Webb (whose debut record "O You Stone Changling" released about a month ago) will open the night with a solo acoustic performance.  Sherree Chamberlain will follow while in the midst of working on songs for her second record (a follow-up to the popular "The Wasp in the Room").  To close the night will be Samantha Crain on the last leg of a tour with an all-girl power trio.  If you don't already realize, shows that end a tour in an artist's home town are often amazing... they have the set down to a T having played them every night for weeks in a row and are excited to finally be back in a familiar place with all of their friends.  Should be a really fun night!  Oh yeah... Pepe's has AMAZING fresh mexican food and will have great drink specials all night!  Find the event on facebook.

2. DUSTBOWL ARTS MARKET 

For the 2nd consecutive year, we'll be teaming up with the brilliant creative minds of Dustbowl Arts Market.  For those of you that don't already know, Dustbowl is a festival that promotes local creators of handmade goods, art, clothing, and music.  The festival happens twice a year (once in the fall on Campus Corner in Norman and once in the Spring in association with Norman Music Festival.  We have taken up the role of promoting and booking the music that takes place at the festival.  This year the event will happen on Saturday, August 27th.  We'll post specific details with lineup and times as we near the event.

NMF4 BLACKWATCH STAGE

Hey guys!  As you all know, this year's 4th annual Norman Music Festival is just around the corner!  We are very excited to be hosting a stage once again in 2011.  We've put together a lineup of many of our great friends and local artists that we can't wait to see perform on our stage.  The NMF website has all of the general info for the festival (including the featured lineups for every stage).  The Brewhouse will be selling beer at our stage during all performances, so come thirsty!  Here is the schedule for The Blackwatch Stage:

!!! 2011 Blackwatch SXSW PARTY !!!

Hey guys! Get ready for the 2nd Annual Blackwatch SXSW Party!  Last year was a blast, but we're pumping it up a notch or two this time around. The party will be Friday March 18th @ Austin Java (located @ 12th and Lamar in downtown Austin).  7 bands. Free beer. Great patio. Great food. Walking distance from just about any SXSW event you'll be coming from. Spread the word and bring your friends if you want to have a fun free night! A special thanks to Justin Main at DMX and Larry White for helping us find Austin Java to host this year's party.

Hey guys!  We've got a couple of really fun events coming up that we hope everyone will be able to attend... 

1. Blackwatch Presents     (search "blackwatch presents" on facebook)

The Pretty Black Chains, The Burning Hotels, and The Boom Bang this Friday August 20th @ The Deli.  We're continuing our monthly tradition @ The Deli on Campus Corner in Norman with another great lineup this week.  All of these bands put on fantastic shows and compliment each other quite well.  Once again the cover will be $5 and the first 50 people to arrive after 9:30 will recieve a free red cup beer!  

2. Dustbowl Arts Market     (search "dustbowl arts market music festival" on facebook)

This event has been a lot of fun to get together.  We could not be happier with the lineup that this festival is going to feature!  If you guys know any people that lack faith in the local music scene... bring them to Campus Corner on August 28th.  There will be a total 12 bands playing from 1:00pm to 11:00pm on the main stage in the parking lot between Hideaway Pizza and Brother's.  The after-party will feature 3 more artists.  Trust me, this will be an amazing day filled with great musical performances surrounded by countless other creative elements that Dustbowl Arts Market has to offer.

Happy 4th of July everyone!  This coming Saturday July 10th will be another night @ The Deli for us.  This time around will be Native Lights, Deerpeople, and DJ Blake Ward.  Once again, the first 50 people to pay after 9:30 will recieve a free beer!  Come hang out with us!

Blackwatch and Dustbowl Arts Market

This August 28th will be the 2nd Annual Dustbowl Arts Market on Campus Corner in Norman, Oklahoma.  The festival is really awesome.  It features lots of really great local designers, artists, and musicians.  We've been asked to put on the music portion of the festival!  As we start to fill up the lineup, we'll keep you posted on what bands to be looking forward to... We're already quite excited about several of the acts that will be performing!

Blackwatch Night @ The Deli

Hey guys.  The Deli has asked us to host a "Blackwatch Night" once a month.  We're really looking forward to this.  We'll be putting on shows with a lot of great local artists.  The first of these events will be this Saturday June 12th.  The line up will be Jacob Abello, Broncho, and Gentle Ghost.  Come early because the first 50 people through the door will get a free beer!  Hope to see you there!
